Step 4: Connect SecureAuth® to MultiFactor Web Services
A differentiator from other authentication solutions is SecureAuth’s seamless integration with MultiFactor SecureAuth web services. These include:
• SMS text messaging service
• Telephony (Speech-to-text) service
• X.509 v3 Certificate service
Advanced functionality without installation over-head
These services are hosted in MultiFactor Corporation’s high availability, co-located SAS 70 compliant facility. They become a part of the authentication process without requiring additional servers or software.
Communication between the SecureAuth web component and the web services can only be established over a secure WSE 3.0 connection. This is the most secure Web Services call, requiring bi-lateral authentication of the MultiFactor Web Services and the enterprise’s SecureAuth component.
The solution saves the enterprise thousands in maintenance and personnel fees, while providing the functionality needed for the most secure bi-lateral authentication available.
Secure deployment model
The key to remember for MultiFactor’s installation model is that the enterprise retains all user data. This is imperative for the enterprise wishing to comply to business and government regulations such as PCI, GLB, Sarbanes-Oxley, FFIEC , HIPAA and others. MultiFactor does NOT store user information; WebvServices are only for functionality.
